Emotionally Intelligent Change

Are you a part of a global organization?  If so, you understand the intricacies, the complexities of how a global organization operates.  There are so many factors that need to be taken into consideration in order for a global organization to be successful and achieve its goals.

This is why I’m thrilled to be speaking at #SHRM’s HRTampa Conference “The HEART of Business” this month on the topic of Engaging Global Cultures through Emotionally Intelligent Change Management.  I bring together the three leadership topics I am most passionate about:

  1. Healing and igniting our world through global business
  2. The intricate uses of emotional intelligence in our interactions with self and others
  3. How to use change management to bring our most critical asset, people, through complex change

When you think of our world as one business ecosystem, it becomes easier to break down biases that might otherwise prohibit much needed change.  This then leads to “how” we can bring together our global teams, engaging and empowering them to do what they do best.  Emotional intelligence comes into play – not only to help in times of conflict or during challenging situations, it becomes a proactive way of paving a cohesive path forward.  When you are bringing together diverse groups of people, cohesivity is vital to accomplishing these global business goals while helping individuals feel whole and engaged.

No matter what your organization is going through, change is usually a part of it – a new initiative, an acquisition, organizational changes… the list goes on and on.  This is where emotional intelligence and organizational change come together, supporting interpersonal relationships and leveraging those relationships to carry people through organizational change.

If you are able to make it out to Tampa for the event on October 25th, I will be able to elaborate on these concepts and the practical application of each to engage global teams through complex change.  If you are not able to make it, contact me and I’d be happy to work with you on how to utilize Emotionally Intelligent Change within your global organization.
